{"id":22560,"date":"2024-08-26T09:35:33","date_gmt":"2024-08-26T14:35:33","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.colegiobolivar.edu.co\/website\/?p=22560"},"modified":"2024-08-26T09:35:33","modified_gmt":"2024-08-26T14:35:33","slug":"silenced-voices-revealed-stories-an-exhibition-on-literary-censorship","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/pruebas.colegiobolivar.org\/website\/index.php\/2024\/08\/26\/silenced-voices-revealed-stories-an-exhibition-on-literary-censorship\/","title":{"rendered":"Silenced Voices, revealed stories: an exhibition on literary censorship"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Starting on September 22nd, the Martin Felton Library at Colegio Bol\u00edvar is proud to present a special exhibition of banned books, as part of Banned Books Week 2024, a global initiative promoted by the American Library Association and Amnesty International.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">This exhibition seeks to highlight <strong>the importance of freedom of expression and the diversity of voices in literature.<\/strong> Throughout the exhibition, titles that have been censored at different times in history will be on display, offering visitors a reflection on the challenges faced by literary works and the impact of censorship on society.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Banned Books Week is a global effort that defends the right to read and encourages debate on the importance of protecting intellectual freedom<\/strong>.
